Overview

The create wall section view command automates the generation of section views for walls in Revit. It provides multiple selection approaches and configuration options to align with project documentation needs.

Flexible Wall Selection

Users can choose from several selection methods:

Manual selection of individual walls
Create sections for all walls visible in the active view
Apply section generation to every wall in the model

Additional filters based on wall length, thickness, or type help refine the selection process.

Customizable Section View Generation

Configure how sections are created:

Specify whether the section cuts through the interior or exterior face
Choose the section view type (Section, Detail, or Elevation)
Assign a consistent view family type for standardization

Precise View Adjustments

Fine-tune the generated views by:

Setting the view scale
Defining section width, height, and depth offsets
