Uniform Dimension Space

Automatically distribute dimensions in Revit drawings with consistent spacing and alignment.

Overview

The Uniform Dimension Space command in BIMLOGIQ Copilot provides an automated method for organizing dimension annotations in Revit. By applying consistent spacing and alignment, this tool enhances drawing readability, supports design accuracy, and upholds professional documentation standards.

Key Parameters

Dimensions

Select one or multiple dimensions in your project to apply uniform spacing. This targeted selection allows precise control over which annotations receive adjustments.

Alignment Type

Choose from three alignment approaches to organize your dimensions:

  • Align Upward — distributes based on the topmost dimension
  • Align Downward — distributes based on the bottommost dimension
  • By Reference — prompts selection of a reference dimension for spacing and alignment

Distance

Specify a numeric value for spacing between dimensions. The command automatically respects the current view scale, ensuring consistent results across all drawings and print outputs.

Use Cases

  • Clean and Organized Dimension Layouts — Achieve professional, consistent spacing for improved clarity
  • Flexible Dimension Alignment — Apply upward, downward, or reference-based methods to match project standards
  • Scaled Spacing for Accuracy — Maintain spacing alignment with active view scale for precise documentation
