Room Cut Sheet

Automate the creation of callouts, elevation views, and sheets for individual or multiple rooms in a Revit project.

Overview

The Room Cut Sheet command in BIMLOGIQ Copilot automates the creation of callouts, elevation views, and sheets for individual or multiple rooms in a Revit project. It streamlines room-based detailing by supporting configurable margins, naming prefixes, title blocks, and automated viewport placement to standardize documentation workflows.

Selection Methods

By Choice

Choose rooms from a list to generate callouts and elevations for specific spaces needing focused documentation.

By Selection

Pick rooms directly in the active view for immediate callout and elevation generation.

All Rooms

Automatically generate callouts and elevations for every room visible in the active view, ideal for comprehensive interior documentation.

Configuration Options

  • Callout Margin: Define space around each room included in generated callouts, respecting project unit settings
  • Callout Prefix: Apply a prefix to generated callout view names for easier organization
  • Elevation Prefix: Add a prefix to elevation view names for consistency across documentation
  • Sheet Name Prefix: Set a prefix for generated sheet names to maintain uniform naming conventions
  • Elevation Direction: Choose which elevations (East, North, South, West) to generate per room
  • Title Block: Select a title block family to apply to all generated sheets
  • Elevation View Family Type: Pick a specific view family type to align with project templates
  • View Scale: Define consistent scale for all generated views

Use Cases

  • Room Documentation Automation: Generate complete sheets with callouts and elevations for selected rooms, supporting interior detailing and layout reviews
  • Standardized Output for Repetitive Layouts: Use prefixes and title block options to produce consistent documentation for multiple similar rooms or unit layouts
