The Check Collisions in View command in BIMLOGIQ Copilot allows Revit users to detect and annotate intersections between elements from the active model and linked models directly in the current view. Instead of exporting to external clash detection software, this Revit AI tool provides an immediate, visual way to identify coordination issues and highlight them with customizable annotations.
Source Link File Selection
Optionally select a Revit link as the source model for collision checks. If none is selected, the current model will be used, allowing both self-checks and cross-model coordination.
Source Categories
Define which element categories in the source model to include in the analysis (e.g., ducts, pipes, conduits). This filtering ensures only relevant systems are checked.
Target Link File Selection
Choose a linked model to act as the target, typically an architectural or structural file, to test against MEP systems.
Target Categories
Specify the categories in the target model (such as walls, floors, or beams) where intersections should be detected.
Circle Radius (mm)
Set the size of annotation circles (in mm) marking each collision point. This ensures visibility is appropriate for your drawing scale.
Annotation Line Weight
Adjust the thickness of annotation circles to meet your project’s graphic standards.
Annotation Color
Customize annotation color to clearly highlight detected clashes during model reviews.
Select Annotations After Creation
Enable this option to automatically select all generated annotations, making it easy to inspect, group, or edit them immediately.
Use Cases
Focused View-Based Clash Detection
Run the command in plan, section, or coordination views to review specific areas without generating full project-wide reports.Streamlined Coordination
Annotate intersections directly in Revit for faster decision-making during design and documentation.
With BIMLOGIQ Copilot, your Revit AI assistant, you can perform quick, visual clash detection directly inside Revit. This eliminates the need for external tools and keeps coordination workflows efficient and integrated. Watch the video below to see this feature in action.
