In this video, we explore the Shared Parameter Edit Command in BIMLOGIC Co-pilot—a powerful tool that allows you to delete shared parameters or modify their names directly within your Revit project.

You’ll learn how to:
✔ Edit or remove shared parameters from elements
✔ Choose between project-level editing or updating parameters inside families
✔ Apply changes across all families using the selected parameter
✔ Rename parameters efficiently and consistently
✔ Use the “Force Edit” option to override warnings or errors
✔ Update both the project and the shared parameter file simultaneously

In the example, we work with a parameter called “Total Width” applied to doors and demonstrate how to rename it across the project and all related families. The command also updates the shared parameter file automatically, ensuring consistency throughout your workflow.

⚠️ Important: Since this command directly edits the shared parameter file, make sure to keep a backup copy as a precaution.

This workflow saves time, reduces manual effort, and gives you full control over shared parameters in Revit.

Try BIMLOGIC Co-pilot and simplify your Revit workflows today!
