Create Low, Mid, and High Level Plan Views

BIMLOGIQ Copilot automates the creation of elevation-based plan views to help Revit users manage overlapping MEP systems.

Overview

The Create Low, Mid, and High Level Plan Views command addresses a common challenge in Revit: dense MEP layouts where elements overlap vertically. This AI-powered tool divides complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems into separate elevation zones for improved clarity and documentation.

Key Features

Select MEP Elements

Choose ducts, pipes, conduits, or other MEP components that are stacked or closely spaced. These selections form the foundation for generating new plan views.

Mid Level Option

Enable an additional view capturing the elevation zone between low and high positions, offering extra clarity for intricate MEP configurations.

Create Views as Callouts

Generate elevation-based views as callouts within the active plan, making them convenient for referencing during detailing or coordination tasks.

Open Views After Creation

The newly generated plan views automatically open once created, enabling immediate review and verification of results.

Use Cases

  • Clarifying Overlapping MEP Systems — Separate vertically stacked HVAC, plumbing, or fire protection elements into distinct elevation-based views for clearer documentation.
  • Efficient Model Navigation — Switch between low, mid, and high elevation plan views without toggling visibility settings or manipulating section boxes.

Benefits

This automation improves coordination, reduces documentation confusion, and saves time when managing complex MEP systems in Revit projects.
